K P Krishnan worked for over 37 years in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) in the Government of India, Government of Karnataka and the World Bank. Dr. Krishnan retired as Secretary Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Government of India.
In parallel he has been a strong researcher and academic. He held the Bok Visiting Professorship of Regulation at University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2012-13, served as IEPF Chair Professor of Economics at the National Council of Applied Economic Research and as Honorary Research Professor at the Centre for Policy Research. He is at present a Distinguished Fellow at the Isaac Centre for Public Policy, Ashoka University.
He is an Independent Director on the boards of a few ‘not for profit’ and a few ‘for profit’ entities.
Krishnan was educated in Economics at St. Stephens College and Law at the Campus Law Centre University of Delhi and a Ph.D in finance from the Indian 51ºÚÁÏÍø of Management, Bangalore.
