I don't know about you, but from time to time I get some pretty bad lower back pain. Sometimes it is so painful to stand up or to get up if I'm laying down. Yesterday, after shoveling lots of snow, I thought I got off easy, no back pain! A few hours later I felt that sharp pain happening, and I was over it! My natural instinct is to crawl into my bed with a heating pad on my lower back. But this time, I opted for a different approach.
I had been pinning on Pinterest some stretches to do before and after workouts. I remembered that I pinned some for lower back pain. So I gave it a try!
I did all of them and although a few felt uncomfortable. Probably because I need to seriously work on my flexibility. But I instantly felt better and when I woke up, I had no pain! I didn't need to get the heating pad out, or dread getting out of bed. Seriously, these stretches were great and I think I should really do them more often. Who knows, maybe it'll help with preventing some back pain going forward. Fingers crossed!
