Welcome to our blog!
See what's brewing!
It all started this afternoon with an article about
about how oreo's are as addictive as cocaine! Crazy right? After sharing this article with some of my co-workers, we began to talk about how much we all love oreos. Who loved regular stuffed, double stuffed and yes mega stuffed! My best friend even reminisced about her favorite oreo commercial, which we obviously had to watch! We even decided that if they ever chose to stop making oreos that we would have to stock up then begin a revolt... I meant that's just the obvious choice, right?
So it got me thinking about which snack food is my biggest weakness, one that if they ever chose to end production on I would join in a revolt against it (or lets be honest, start the revolt)... and hands down, that snack is Nutella.
As you already know, I come from an Italian family and because of that, Nutella has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. At my nonna's we would sit and make mini Nutella "sandwiches" with saltines and eat tons of them! When I was in elementary school, my mother would pack me Nutella sandwiches since I didn't like meat. I think I ate a Nutella sandwich (sometimes with peanut butter or bananas) just about every day for years. Kids would think I was crazy eating essentially chocolate sandwiches daily.
Quite frankly, I didn't care because it's still one of the best lunches on earth.
To this day, my love for Nutella is still strong. I'm not kidding when I say I always (and I mean always) have one of those large jars of Nutella and a spoon next to my bed at all times. And of course there's a large jar next to my sewing machine. And no, I don't like sharing with others, they can use a jar that's upstairs in the pantry if they want some. Harsh maybe, but I call it dedication.
I'm crazy about my Nutella, and do you really blame me? To me, it's more than chocolatey goodness and heaven on earth. It has been a part of my life literally for as long as I can remember. And honestly, it reminds me a lot of my good ol' family and brings back lots of memories of my nonna, ones that I cherish.
You might think I sound crazy, but I'm ok with that!
So tell me, do you have a snack weakness that makes you sound as insane as I do right now? Let us know, and don't be shy, we don't judge here!
