I am a little more than one week into my plan for getting back on track!
I am more of a morning person, and I'm up everyday well before my alarm. Typically I lay in bed and play games on my phone or try to fall back asleep. Instead, I decided that I would spend this time waking up and doing some light working out to get my body in motion.
I don't do anything too crazy, no cardio that early in the morning for me. Instead, I whip out my yoga mat and do either yoga or Pilates. I use resources like Pinterest to find some great workout videos for free!
I stumbled on a series of YouTube videos from Blogliates. Cassey Ho has tons of videos that give you a serious workout. She's overly enthusiastic about what she does, and it takes a touch of getting used to. But let me tell you, my body truly feels it when I'm done working out! She has great ideas and keeps you motivated the whole time. She does full body workouts and has other videos to focus on one particular part of the body! She's really worth checking out! I like to switch it up though. So, I try out different videos and challenge myself to do the best I can. That's all I can ask for is to try hard, try something new and take myself to my limit. I'm already seeing small progress in how long I'm able to keep up when picking up the pace after work when I do a bit of cardio. And my flexibility is improving as well.
